HHIM always provides a certain level of instruction to the recipients, caregivers and therapists. We have also organized conferences by bringing in experts to have workshops for local rehab staff. In May of 2006 the University of South Dakota’s physical therapy department, faculty and students trained Palestinian therapists in Bethany and East Jerusalem.  USD PT and OT dept have also agreed to write a wheelchair users manual to provide with each wheelchair given.
